Your server, its NVMe disks and its snapshots are in Equinix IL4, Istanbul. Nothing is replicated abroad.
The service is provided and invoiced by CloudBT Telekomünikasyon A.Ş., a company registered in Turkey, which simplifies vendor due diligence under KVKK.
Dedicated resources, per-customer VLANs, VXLAN private networks in virtual data centers and panel-managed firewalls.
This is a hosting provider's summary, not legal advice. Confirm your obligations with counsel; the points below are what customers usually need from us.
KVKK (Law No. 6698): Turkey's data protection law, modeled on earlier EU rules. Transferring personal data abroad is restricted and, in most cases, requires a legal basis such as the data subject's explicit consent, adequacy or approved safeguards.
Practical consequence: Many Turkish companies and their vendors choose to keep personal data on servers inside Turkey to avoid the transfer question altogether.
Sector rules: Banking, payment services, insurance, electronic communications and public-sector projects have additional localization requirements set by their regulators (for example BDDK and BTK rules on keeping systems and data in Turkey).
What a provider can give you: A documented location (Equinix IL4, Istanbul), a Turkish legal entity as the contracting party, isolation controls and the ability to delete data on request.
Location: All compute and storage in Istanbul; no cross-border replication.
Contracting party: CloudBT Telekomünikasyon A.Ş., Istanbul. Invoices in USD with Turkish tax details.
Isolation: Reserved resources, Layer 2 isolation per customer, private networks per project, firewall and security groups.
Deletion: Deleting a server removes its disk and snapshots from our storage; we document retention periods in our terms.
Access: Email-verified accounts, API keys with read, manage or full scope and spend limits, and an account activity log.
We are an infrastructure provider, not a certification body. We do not claim that using our servers makes an application compliant; compliance depends on how you process data. We publish facts about location, hardware and isolation so your assessment can rely on them.
Latency is the practical bonus of in-country hosting: 1.8 ms to Türk Telekom and 6.2 ms to Vodafone, measured from the same servers.
The facility your data lives in: Equinix Istanbul
Three hosting locations and what they mean for data residency
| FEATURES | Western Europe | CloudBT in Istanbul | Hyperscaler Turkey region |
|---|---|---|---|
| Data physically in Turkey | No | Yes | Yes |
| Contracting entity | Foreign | Turkish company | Usually foreign, local reseller |
| Cross-border transfer question | Yes | No | Depends on services used |
| Latency to Turkish users | 35 to 45 ms and up | 1.8 ms to Türk Telekom | Low |
| Pricing | Per server | Fixed monthly, bandwidth included | Per resource plus egress |
No replication or backup copies outside Turkey unless you configure them.
Issued by a company registered in Turkey.
VLANs, private networks, firewall, security groups.
API and assistant actions are recorded in your account activity.
The same platform on every plan.
Dual AMD EPYC processors in every physical host. Your virtual server runs on cores reserved for you.

The entire storage layer is NVMe SSD. Database queries and file operations are noticeably faster than on SATA SSD.

Every host connects to two separate switches with a 100G link each. If a switch or link fails, your traffic flows over the other.

Three snapshots per server and a panel-managed firewall are included in every plan.

Each customer in its own VLAN; VXLAN private networks in virtual data centers.

Read, manage or full scope per key, with spend limits and one-click revocation.

Compute, storage and snapshots in Equinix IL4.
Data residency means that data is stored and processed in a specific country. For Turkey, it usually comes up under KVKK, the data protection law, and under sector regulations for finance, telecoms and the public sector. In-country hosting removes the cross-border transfer question and keeps latency to Turkish users low.
